The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.A new role awaitsThe People Strategy Branch is responsible for using research, data and insights to develop and embed people strategies to support the attraction, retention and great employee experience that influence improved outcomes for participants, families and community. We deliver core and strategic organisational management, workforce planning, HR related data and analytics and HR system support.This opportunity is for a highly motivated professional to join our team as the Executive Assistant to our General Manager.Where you can add value You will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of the executive office, organising, and prioritising tasks, and acting as a liaison between the executive and other areas within the agency.Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to:
  • Managing emails, appointments and preparing briefing materials.
  • Scheduling meetings, preparing reports and documents relating to committees and projects.
  • Maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Organising travel arrangements and supporting official functions on behalf of the General Manager, and other agency staff as directed.
  • Identifying and contributing to the resolution of issues and problems as they arise.

The role can be a challenging and rewarding, you will be organised, proactive, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.While experience in an Executive Assistant role or the APS is desirable, it is not essential. Commitment to service and delivering quality work is crucial. While this role will be located in Melbourne, remote working arrangements may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
