Several exciting opportunities exist for a Registered or Clinical Psychologist to join a busy private psychology practice in Hobart, Argyle Psychology. Argyle Psychology provides therapy for a range of general mental health issues, with a particular focus on the treatment of trauma. Newly graduated psychologists or clinicians are also encouraged to apply.
Essential criteria:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or applicable regulatory body;
- Eligible to apply for a Medicare Provider number;
- A current ABN (or willingness to obtain one);
- A current indemnity insurance policy (or willingness to obtain such a policy prior to commencement of role);
- Experience in the use of evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches;
- Awareness and understanding of trauma-informed care.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in the use of trauma interventions, such Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-focussed CBT.
