- The Psychology Professional Lead (QFMHS) is responsible for clinical leadership and governance of the psychologists in the Community arm of the QFMHS and for the development and management of specialist forensic psychology services.
- This position provides Professional Leadership, consultation, supervision and clinical input utilising a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field of forensic mental health as well as contributing to the training of staff, skill development and the development and review of training, research, policy and clinical practice guidelines.
- This position also contributes to the strategic direction for psychology services across MNMH-RBWH and the broader MNMH stream.
- Demonstrated advanced level of psychology clinical knowledge, expertise and skill and the application of current evidence based practice and clinical services of a complex nature to mental health consumers.
- Demonstrated ability to influence clinical practice through the provision of advanced clinical advice and professional advocacy to senior managers and other stakeholders on psychological service delivery and improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and provide discipline specific leadership in a multidisciplinary team, within a consultation and liaison model. High-level oral (e.g., negotiation, problem solving skills and provision of training) and written communication skills (e.g., provision of reports)
- Demonstrated ability to independently provide specialist psychological services of a complex nature in forensic mental health cases.
