Ayana Psychology Services are seeking skilled, caring, and dedicated psychologists to join our Clyde North team. Provisional psychologists also welcome to apply. Part Time/ Casual.
About the Role:
- To provide counselling services to clients referred to Ayana Psychology Services.
- The Psychologist will assess, diagnose and treat clients having a variety of emotional, behavioral and psychological support needs.
- The Psychologist will be expected to work closely with the other members of the Ayana Psychology team in planning, implementing and evaluation processes.
- You will be located in comfortable and nurturing space where you can provide quality care to clients in a calming environment
- You will be supported by a dedicated administrative team who will assist with carrying the burden of a range of administrative tasks including; new referrals, scheduling, client communications and a range of other services.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently to provide high quality best practice psychological interventions for clients.
- Provide clients with effective case management and treatment services.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and strategies which are individualized.
- Provision of letters or psychological reports to assist clients access other services or as required by clients/referral agencies.
- Select appropriate assessment measures to monitor the progress of clients and outcomes.
- Select and administer appropriate psychometric assessments and provide meaningful interpretations of the results.
- Provide meaningful and practical feedback to clients, families, medical referrers and other professionals.
- Actively collaborate with external stakeholders, medical and allied health practitioners and referral agencies as required.
Requirements:
- Hold full AHPRA registration.
- WWCC.
- Police check.
- Current provider numbers.
- Proven experience in providing psychotherapy and counselling services.
- Knowledge in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and effectively engage with clients remotely.
- Comfortable using technology and ability to navigate telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in clinical practice.
Desired skills :
- Experience in the provision of clinical/counselling services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including counselling skills.
- Knowledge of psychological disorders.
- Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with external referral partners.
- Good computer skills and knowledge.
- Successful completion of a Victorian Police Background Check/ Working with Children.
