Your New Practice
A professional allied health service that values being able to provide client-centred, evidence-based assessments and interventions for their clients. They work alongside their clients and their families to achieve in all areas of daily life. Their services include psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy and dietetics.
Their holistic practice works collaboratively with other community agencies and is responsive to clients’ requirements.
They offer a range of approaches to meet the needs of their clients. These may include home, school and daycare visits and a wide range of group programs.
Your Next Director
A warm, approachable, and enthusiastic leader who wants to see her team thrive. As a busy mom, your next director understands the importance of work-life harmony. An Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children with developmental delays and disabilities.
Your New Role:
  • Assessments and interventions for children, teens, parents, and families presenting with developmental, behavioural mental health concerns;
  • A predominantly paediatric caseload;
  • Based in the clinic, face-to-face and telehealth, with the possibility of providing services in the community (schools etc.) and trips to remote areas to provide services in these communities;
  • As a psychologist, you will be valued in providing clinical consultation, assessment and advice to our clients, their families and other members of the client’s team;
  • You will provide a psychological lens in guiding the care team to form therapy plans and interventions with children, young people, and families.
Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you want to work in a team environment and easily build rapport with your clients. As well as this, you will have the following:
  • A recognised and relevant qualification as a Registered or Clinical Psychologist;
  • Registration and professional membership with the relevant associated body (Psychology Board of Australia/AHPRA) for overseas applicants should be due for registration in the next three months;
  • Commitment to a high standard of therapeutic practice and a passion for ensuring quality and integrity in all areas;
  • An interest and experience in working with children;
  • Experience in psychological assessments and psychometric testing;
  • Have a proven ability to build and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, including skills in report writing;
  • Willing to engage in professional development;
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping our clients be their best;
  • Ability to show initiative and self-motivation;
Including:
  • Have a current WWC or willingness to obtain;
  • Have a current WA driver’s license or the ability to obtain one;
  • National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain;
  • Training in CPR, undertaken within the past three years;
  • Obtain a WA Department of Education Screening.
