This is a full-time role based out of our South Sydney Head Office located in Riverwood, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and professional Inventory Officer to join our dynamic supply chain team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring and overseeing efficient and effective inventory management. The ability to identify analytical issues and provide key proactive solutions is essential in ensuring workflow and inventory are operating seamless to minimise disruptions. You will be working in a collaborative supply chain department within a supportive and safe team culture. You will possess experience and technical knowledge with ERP and warehouse management systems, Microsoft applications and computer literacy skills. The person will need to be adaptable, responsive and competent to deal with ad hoc situations that may arise in a busy professional business environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Experience and knowledge with ERP systems (SAGE and Microsoft Navision) would be ideal.
Understanding and experience in Warehouse management systems and processes.
Advanced Microsoft applications and computer literacy skills.
Proven experience of inventory control and cross functions will be highly regarded.
Previous exposure to Auto Glass or the Automotive Industry is desired but not essential.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Accomplished interpersonal skills.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Competent to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain up to date and accurate stock levels across all branches.
Arrange branch stock transfer request and replenishment adjustment.
Coordinate and oversee the branches perform daily cycle and full cycle stocktakes.
Consignment stock inventory management.
Organise and conduct on site branch audits - some interstate and international travel will be required.
ERP stock and location management and implementation.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with local and international suppliers whilst providing customer service as needed.
Maintain all relevant stock, procurement and purchasing reports are up to date.
Liaise with local and international suppliers ensuring timely deliverable schedules.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
