Medsurge Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing and Logistics Manager to join our growing team in Melbourne. In this critical role, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective procurement, storage, and distribution of our life-saving pharmaceutical products.
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management role.
- Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry (a strong plus).
- Proficiency in logistics and transportation management, including international shipping processes and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and manage a team.
- Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools and technologies.
- A passion for healthcare and a commitment to quality and compliance.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing strategies to secure high-quality pharmaceuticals at competitive prices.
- Manage global logistics and transportation, ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
- Lead a team of Purchasing and Logistics professionals, providing training, mentorship, and motivation.
- Oversee all aspects of the purchasing process, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless product flow.
