For this role, my client seeks an experienced Purchasing and planning lead professional to drive all activity to meet project, production, and delivery targets. The role encompasses several domains in technical buying, invoicing, supplier management, inventory control; & planning, logistics, purchasing, and QAD planning.
The Role
- Involved in supporting internal customer enquiries to support current and quotation projects.
- Technical buying activities like gathering multiple competitive quotations for various engineered items.
- Explore alternate sources for materials and services, considering customer sourcing direction.
- Ensuring the generation of accurate QAD sales orders to reflect customer POs.
- Ensuring generation of accurate Shipper and Invoice documentation.
- Act as the main POC for suppliers with information related to the availability of materials, dispatch of routine or urgent orders, and handling any delays (ensuring supplier performance doesn't impact DIFOT).
- Understand inventory policies and optimum stock levels to meet the on-time delivery targets.
- Planning and coordinating production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Undertale analysis of material and inventory planning data.
- Support Purchasing and costing activities and ERP set up for products ad projects coming through the sales pipeline.
Your Background
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role across technical and strategic sourcing.
- Heavy industrial/automotive/Engineering purchasing background is highly desired.
- Purchasing & Supplier management.
