With Head Office in Queensland and distribution centres across Australia, this Company continues to be at the forefront of the ever-changing demands of the plumbing sector in providing high quality, efficient and water conscious products.
About your new role:
The position will focus on providing procurement support through effective management of large portfolios for existing and new customers. As the company experiences new growth opportunities, this will include the inventory management of new and upcoming product lines. Offering strategies and solutions to streamline internal purchasing activities, communicating with internal and external stakeholders and forecasting inventory requirements will play a major part of the role.
Main Tasks include but not limited to:
- Ensure appropriate stock levels are met
- Provide cost analysis on all relevant product lines
- Liaise with logistic companies and internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective shipping methods used
- Ensure products are delivered in a timely manner
- Develop and actively maintain strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally
- Identification of methods to source products and implement strategies
- Assist with identifying contract renewals and negotiations with suppliers
- Efficient processing of orders using ERP system and Netstock inventory software
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- 3-5 years inventory experience is highly regarded
- Experience using ERP and inventory management software such as Netstock
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Exceptional ability to communicate, proven ability to collaborate with colleagues and customers
- High attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
- Possess a ‘can do’ proactive attitude
