Purchasing Officer

Our client is a leading provider of railway track solutions worldwide with a strong focus on customer collaboration and innovative technology who serve a global customer base of over 125 railways.
  
If you're a motivated and passionate Purchasing Officer who has great communication skills and thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment, then we have the perfect opportunity for you!
 

• Manage purchasing processes, including obtaining and comparing supplier quotes and sourcing alternative suppliers when necessary.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and updating internal processes.
• Execute EH&S tasks to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Contribute to quality assurance tasks to uphold our high standards of service.

Ideal Candidate:

• Mechanically minded with a solid understanding of workshop environments.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
• Experience in purchasing roles, and comfortable speaking with suppliers.
• A team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues to achieve collective goals.
• Organised and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

Perks and Benefits:

• $75K - $80K Salary +Superannuation 
• Mon - Thurs 7am - 3:30pm Fri 7am-1:30pm
• Fulltime Opportunity available after 3-6 months
