We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our Banyo team.
The position primarily involves providing efficient and cost-effective purchasing/supply of inventory and non-inventoried materials to support our sales team and our customers.
The ideal candidate would possess:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role and environment.
- Negotiation, organisational, problem solving and any other skills relevant to the duties performed
- Adequate experience to be able to identify products and parts
- Initiative and ability to train in multiple facets of Purchasing to cover changes in staff coverage
- Well displayed skills in utilisation of technology systems and programs, i.e. Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and CSV formatting with formulas etc.) and ability to use NetSuite ERP system
- Ability to learn key points of NetSuite from a Customer Service perspective
Duties would involve yet not limited to:
- Develop and maintain effective networks with sales team, and other CFP staff, customers, suppliers, and industry colleagues and to display confidence when dealing with others
- Vendor purchasing to multiple branch locations from local, national and international vendors
- Maintenance of purchase orders from order placement to item receipt including acknowledgements and expediting.
- Monitor supplier performance such as pricing, accuracy, delivery, reliability, quality and service level.
- Manage supplier backorder system
- Procure products/components from vendors in accordance with company max-min requirements
- Procure products/components direct to branch location
- Monitor and control branch mastered planned items along with the local Purchasing Officer
- Monitor transfers prior to carry out purchase order creation
- Identify procurement and inventory improvement opportunities
