A fulltime opportunity exists for an adaptable team player to join our Supply Solutions team at our Girraween premises.
About the Role:
This position reports to the General Manager – Supply Solutions and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Quality and Food Safety initiatives for the business to ensure delivery of safe, high quality products that meet consumer expectations and are compliant with relevant regulatory standards.
The main duties for this role include, but will not be limited to:
- Review and maintain product labelling to ensure they meet regulatory requirements
- Maintain Approved Supplier Portal – Food Safety Certificates, Insurance and other certifications
- Review and maintain Product Information Portal (OPRI System)
- Apply and maintain import permits (BICON)
- Prepare reporting for Container Deposit Schemes
- Conduct investigations into significant Quality and Food Safety events and consumer complaints and aid in the identification of contributing factors, root causes and preventative/corrective actions (WIN System). Provide written responses to customers
- Action product recall and product withdrawals. Conduct traceability reports
- Organise and minute Bi-annual HACCP Meetings
- Monitor and action DAFF (Biosecurity) processes
- Complete site internal Quality and GMP audits
- Prepare & partake in external audits
- Identify, organise and prioritise tasks to ensure the business unit comply to QMS standards (HACCP & GMP), as well as other legislative & external requirements by maintaining procedures, documents, record keeping, filling and electronic data
Skills and Experience:
- Food Science or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Quality Auditing and HACCP/Food Safety experience (certifications desirable)
- Worked 5+ years in a similar role within the food industry
- An awareness of food regulations, food labelling laws and Food Standards Code
- Computer literate (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
- Great communication skills – you'll connect, engage and collaborate well with others
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi task
