Reporting to the Scrum Master you will play a key role in a cross functional team by testing a client centric software using modern testing methods and practices to deliver quality software efficiently in a challenging environment. In this role you will have responsibility of ensuring the quality in the end to end process, from reviewing and contributing to the acceptance criteria to uplifting the regression coverage using your technical skills.
Role Responsibilities
Prepare test scripts for Wealth Management and Investment Platform
Raise and retest defects during Peer Testing, System Testing and Regression Testing. Re-test of defect fixes provided throughout the implementation.
Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. Designing and building test suites and cases including regression from requirements, user stories and test strategies following established testing standards and practices. Drafting, review and execution of test cases and test scripts created for each work stream.
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution. Work closely with Support, Developers and Business Analyst for defects resolution.
Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
Automate test scripts during the progression testing phase and raise defects and perform manual test execution where automation is not feasible.
Analyse and update regression test scope to improve regression code coverage.
Provide detail reporting on progression and regression status ensuring compliance is maintained.
Prevent defect slippages by identifying the comprehensive test coverage in our automation suites or in manual test suites. Able to identify the right automation candidates from these tickets that adds business value and frequently used operational functions.
Experience and Skills
ISTQB Foundation Level certified or similar qualification
1+ years of .Net experience in test automation. VB.net is an added advantage
1+ year experience in Selenium automation frameworks and Jmeter with strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts and Page Object Models.
SQL experience and basic understanding of relational databases
Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Experience working within the financial services industry preferably wealth management experience (Investment Products & Retirement Solutions)
Great team player and individual contributor with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
The ability to 'think outside the box' to find creative and innovative solution to challenges.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks within tight timeframes
Experience testing Web Based Applications, Web services, XML, GUI, Reports and databases utilising a wide range of test tools
Practical knowledge in test management, bug tracking, UI, UX, API, and platform testing tools.
Experience and/or accreditation in technologies including.
Jira, Confluence, Team City, Octopus, Visual Studio
Database : Oracle, SQL server
Other : Web Services, XML, Git/Subversion Repositories , Postman, Swagger
Solid understanding of test techniques as well as exposure to automation testing and frameworks.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to ensure clear definition of test plans, test cases and defects for all stakeholders such as developers, support and clients
Experience with building automation in a Continuous Integration environment
Experience working in an Agile environment, CSD, CSM, SA, ASE.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Formal training in Quality Assurance fundamentals
