KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for an QA Inspector for a Darwin based project. This role is local only and no FIFO applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance to all internal and client quality requirements and procedures for welding works.
• Coordinate all site inspections with client representatives.
• Conduct material inspections and review of documentation to ensure compliance to project technical requirements (random inspection at least once a week and/or for every new delivery).
• Conduct survey or verification of Client work releases for work front availability and determination of potential problems that may be encountered during the installation or application.
• Check the clearance for any work including obstructions and sufficient accessibility to the job location.
• Witnessing and sentencing of all site inspections as per Supervisors requests, involving both visual and dimensional inspection.
• Report on all non-conformance incidents and provide feedback on solutions and turnaround time for corrections made.
• Assist the Project Superintendent in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities regarding site/actual conditions against drawings, methods and project specifications.
• Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are at current status, including Request for Inspections, Inspection and Test Records, Isometric Drawings and Work Packages.
• Assist in submitting the Manufacturers Data Report (MDR) during project completion, including the compilation of all technical details and records of activities performed by KAEFER as a historical record to assist with future investigations in quality, performance or reliability of the product/material, such as design; supply of materials; offsite fabrication, surface treatment and assembly; onsite construction, assembly, erection and installation; and inspection.
• Ensure all works are correctly prepared prior to any client inspection being undertaken, involving daily process site inspection and answering all queries and concerns from Supervision.
• Prepare Nonconformance Reports (NCR) for the QA/QC Manager and Project Superintendent to review and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.
• Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the project contract specifications.
• Regularly maintain all quality reporting systems
About You
• Demonstrated experience as a QA inspector
• CSWIP.3.1, AWS CWI, IWI-B, AS 1796 or a Cert 10 is essential.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be local to Darwin and able to get to and from work every day.
