About the Role:
Quality, Health Safety & Environment is key in all we do, and we are looking for someone to administer QHSE from our Fremantle based business, covering our operations across Australia and New Zealand. As QHSE Manager you will be responsible for quality, HSE, risk management and support. You will work closely with the local management team, the Country Manager and QHSE team in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with standards, conducting and supporting comprehensive risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety and quality awareness among our employees. You will know the operation and challenges in detail and provide regular, transparent reports to the leadership team, analyzing our QHSE performance and strategizing ways to enhance our compliance to standards, while integrating QHSE considerations seamlessly into our business strategy and operations.
- Aligned with strategy: plan, monitor, and support business managers in day-to-day QHSE activities.
- Lead QHSE audits for the business.
- Provide regular status reports on customer and quality issues to the business management and the resolution thereof.
- Control implementation of lessons learned.
- Propose, develop and be ready to lead continuous improvement activities as approved by the business.
- Ensure maintenance of ISO / QHSE certification.
- Proactively support the business management team in QHSE related issues and management reviews.
- Provide reliable and accurate information to the business in regard to HSE legislation in country, and ensure processes are in place to maintain compliance.
About you:
Qualification
- Good knowledge of QHSE standards and project work including methods and tools
- Master or bachelor’s in OHS, Industrial relations, engineering or similar field
Experience
- Experience from investigations and/or root cause analysis.
- Experience from companies that are subjected to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 certifications
