We are looking for a passionate centre CHEF/COOK to join our family. No weekends, no split shifts and dream hours. 30-37.5 hours per week.
You will be responsible for the purchase, preparation and provision of nutritious meals for all children at Expeditions Early Learning Journey, while meeting the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1984.
You will use the Feed Australia menu planning and guides to ensure menus are consistent with the current recommended daily dietary requirements. You will be responsible for preparing cooking classes to provide opportunities for the children at the centre to learn about sustainability and growing of vegetables and herbs.
Highly desirable if you are passionate about gardening and growing your own vegetables, fruit and herbs.
To be successful, you will hold a Level 2 Food Handler’s Certificate with a sound knowledge of the Food Safety Act 1984 as well as a valid Working with Children Check. Well developed communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team are key requirements of this position.
