The Position:
With ongoing dynamic growth, an exciting opportunity has come up for an energetic, hardworking, and dedicated person to join our team as a Landscape Gardener working on a wide variety of interesting projects around Southern Tasmania.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- The job will include maintenance & landscape gardening work on various sites around greater Hobart area.
- You will be responsible for undertaking tasks such as: mowing lawns, brush cutting, blowing down hard surfaces, trimming trees & shrubs, planting, mulching garden beds, weed removal, general clean ups, irrigation repairs & small landscaping jobs.
- You will be required to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative when working in a small team
- Be proactive & bring a positive & enthusiastic attitude
- Uphold the company's core values
- Report to the project/operations manager on a regular basis
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in landscape maintenance works
- 2+ years’ experience in landscape construction or similar works
- 2+ years experience in installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Minimum of 1 years experience in working unsupervised
- Cert 2 or higher in horticulture
- Construction Industry White Card
- Working with vulnerable children's card
- All successful candidates will be required to undertake a police check
Ideal but not mandatory:
- Manual drivers licence
- Competent Excavator/Skid Steer Operator
- Ticket for Excavator and Skid Steer
