Aberstone Community Services provide vital support and services to people living with Mental Health and disabilities in the community. We are seeking applications for Qualified Mental HealthSupport Workers & Support Workerswith the right valuesto join our NDIS team operating throughout the Perth metropolitan area. We are looking for passionate part-time qualifiedMental Health and youth workers; who want to make a difference, and assist our participants living with physical, Mental Health, and other coexisting disabilities to live their lives.
Areas of key interest are:
- Youth Support Worker - Armadale Area
- Mental HealthSupport Workers - North and South
- Spanish speaking Support Workers - North of the River and preferably from Latin American background
- Gardeners and Cleaners
- Ellenbrook Area
- Joondalup Area
- Midland Area - Day and Night shifts
Essential criteria:
- Certificate III or higher in Mental Health, Disability, Individual Support, Youth Work, or recovery work in Mental Health, or minimum 2 years lived experience in these areas
- Previous experience in Mental Health, and working with those who face Mental Health challenges
- Good written communication, computer, and mobile device skills; have a mobile phone and access to a computer
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle to travel to participants homes and assist them to access the community, including comprehensive motor vehicle insurance and registration
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (can obtain if successful)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (can obtain if successful)
- Working with Children Card; or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (can obtain if successful)
- Must be willing to do personal care
- Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia
- Applicants must have flexible availability
