With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol, and sustainable agricultural products.
Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
We are currently seeking applications for a Quality Analyst to join our team at Wilmar BioEthanol, located in Yarraville, Melbourne. The successful applicant will provide support for the manufacture and distribution of Ethanol and Solvent products by performing all Laboratory and QC work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
Responsibilities of this role will include
- Perform daily laboratory operations
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Perform quality inspections
- Maintain, calibrate and conduct verification checks on laboratory instruments and equipment
- Maintain records of all lab calibration, compliance and documentation.
- Ensure timely analysis of material in storage
The ideal candidate will have
- Minimum Certificate III in Laboratory or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining GC, HPLC, ICP & UV-VIS instruments is desirable
