Green Farmers is one of Australia’s largest medicinal cannabis cultivators located in South-eastern Victoria (approximately an hour from the city) and is rapidly growing the team to meet current customer demands as well as a rapid business growth strategy. As a B2B supplier of medicinal cannabis to Australian brands and patients Green Farmers is looking for a Quality and Compliance Manager that can operate in a highly regulated industry.
The Role
We are looking for an experience Quality and Compliance Manager to ensure our company adheres to regulations and internal policies and procedures. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of the business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. Reporting to the General Manager/COO at Green Farmers, this position will work broadly across the organisation and closely with the management team and staff generally. The role will:
- Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation;
- Develop, implement and maintain quality improvement and procedures that allow Green Farmers to meet the industry standards and relevant legislation;
- Take the lead role in investigations doing root cause analysis on quality related incidents;
- Focus on staff development across the business sites in relation to Quality and Compliance;
- Ensure the company has systems and procedures in place at all sites;
- Maintain our QMS system and record any quality related incidents, issues and improvements;
- Develop SoPs where needed, educate and support staff in these procedures;
- Liaise with the ODC on various matters including but not limited to Quarterly and annual reporting, security incidents, licensing queries, and variations;
- Manage Company licences to ensure all ODC and State licences and permits are applied, renewed and valid to maintain operations
- Ensure all sampling and testing is completed in a timely manner following the correct sampling method;
- Work with freight forwarders, customs agents and suppliers to ensure documentation for imports is compliant to relevant authorities and regulatory requirements
- Complete audits and checks of all records
The Candidate - Proven experience as a Compliance Manager
- Experience in the Cannabis industry ideal but not essential
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Police Check will be undertaken prior to commencement
