About the Role:
In this role you will be working with the Quality Assurance Manager to achieve Quality Department objectives. You will be performing shift Quality checks and assist Manufacturing in resolving any Quality related issues. Providing Quality Assurance leadership, guidance and coaching to the Process teams to ensure that processes and product quality are maintained.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Initialise and calibrate Quality test equipment and supporting computers.
- Conduct acceptance inspection on incoming steel and plastic and accept or reject.
- Set up inspection equipment and gauges for the next run and conduct Production Run Approval checks.
- Assist Manufacturing in resolving any Quality issues during set up & production.
- Monitor Production product for dimensions, material properties and function and report.
- Conduct routine clip fatigue testing and reporting to assist in resolving issues.
- Assist training the shift team on Quality matters.
- Calibrate test equipment and investigate and arrange purchase of replacement or new equipment.
Skills & Experience:
- (2) years' experience working within the steel manufacturing industry
- Basic understanding of ISO9001.
- Be able to understand and use Statistical Process Control.
- Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous exposure to Microsoft Word & Excel.
