The Role:

The Quality Assurance Coordinator - Farming is responsible for collecting samples, monitoring of the farming production process, develop and monitoring of Farming CCP’s/QCP’S, developing and reviewing Quality Assurance procedures as well as various other associated duties as required. The Quality Assurance Coordinator - Farming will be regarded as a Team member who is able to provide appropriate advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and managers in the interpretation of the Quality System. The role involved lots of travelling to our farms within 40 minutes of drive to collect samples, travelling allowance or access to company vehicle is provided.

Your duties will include though are not limited to:

• Monitor and document performance of all operations from Breeder Rearing, Breeder Production, Hatchery and Broiler Farm operations including all aspects such pathogen reduction programs, cleaning and sanitation plans and conformance to the industry and regulatory standards 
• Collate and monitor data to indicate trends 
• Monitoring of Animal Welfare Practices
• Perform frequent checks on sites to ensure that customer requirements are met
• Perform regular process reviews
• Conduct regular reviews of customer specifications
• Identify and recommend opportunities for systems/process improvement with a view to continuous improvement
• Provide guidance and training on Quality Assurance policies and systems as required
• Writing procedures and developing records to demonstrate compliance
• Participate in external assessments as required
• Assist in investigations of non conformances 
• Monitor ongoing compliance with retailer and industry regulations and standards
  

About you:

To be successful in this position you must be committed to demonstrating good manufacturing practices as Hazeldenes prides itself on producing chicken products of the highest quality. You must also possess:

• A tertiary qualification in Quality Assurance or other relevant qualification would be highly regarded
• Well-developed organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access computer programs
• Farming Production Process monitoring 
• Quality Assurance Auditing
• Customer service orientation
