About the role

The QA Officer will be responsible for the effective implementation of the FSMS, maintaining and enhancing the quality and safety of products within the company. This role requires a keen attention to detail, adherence to regulatory standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.

To be successful in this role you will required to perform the following functions:

  • Be responsible for the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the quality management system, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, including the pest control program, allergen management, GMP.
  • Co-ordinate with other departments in the customer and third-party audit. (FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal, and food safety audit organised by local council).
  • Conduct regular internal audits based on the FSSC 22000 standard;
  • Conduct verification activities to ensure compliance with the HACCP plan / quality system. These include pest control, allergen management, environmental monitoring etc.
  • Conduct validation activities to ensure the effectiveness of the HACCP Plan / quality system, this includes CCP validation, shelf life testing, equipment calibration.
  • Working closely with the production team to oversee quality procedures, SOP and / or work instructions at various stages of production to ensure products meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D (flavour team) to continuously improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team in the development process of new products to ensure that new products are assessed for the potential implications to the existing HACCP Plan and quality systems (e.g. risk of introducing new hazards / allergens).
  • Manage supplier documentations and approval.
  • Manage raw material specification, finished product documentation and testing.
  • Handle customer enquires relating to product details, quality system and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively in the investigation of customer complaints or internal quality events and nonconformances, including production, R&D, and logistics, to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all team members on shift follow food safety, OHS and QA requirements.
  • Lead and ensure a high level of Good Manufacturing Practices, Housekeeping, and cleanliness.
  • CCP monitoring and escalation procedures followed as required.

About you

Experience

Ideally have come from a food manufacturing background include quality system management, audits; as well as have knowledge of GMP, HACCP, certification process and audits. You will be a person strong on motivational skills, team building and have a proactive approach.
