Our client is a family-owned business and the head group of multiple companies who specialise in FMCG. They have approximately 180 employees nationally, with a head office of 80 employees in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
About the Role
This role is responsible for assisting the Quality & Compliance Manager with maintaining Quality Assurance within the organisation and for its products. This includes areas of complaints, compliance, packaging, documentation, auditing, sampling, issue resolution and product specification.
This role is Monday-Friday, 100% office based, working 8:30am-5:30pm, starting ASAP!
Duties
Some of your duties will include:
- Coordinate customer complaint responses and prepare summary reports of these
- Coordinate product testing and verification activities
- Prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Support in internal and external audits
- Ensure labels are compliant to FSANZ & ACCC labelling laws
- Ensure products comply with established quality and HACCP requirements
- Author internal documents including procedures, SOP, and forms
- Conduct ongoing review of the Quality Management System
Skills & Experience
To be a successful candidate you must have:
- Previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance Officer/coordination role - 2 years minimum
- Previous experience in FMCG, food or manufacturing business - essential
- Experience in working to quality standards relating to WQA/SQF/HACCP - essential
