Our operations include a slaughter floor, boning room and offal collection rooms at our Cressy plant. We produce for the Australian market and also export product internationally.
About the role
Tasmanian Quality Meats has a vacant position for a full time Quality Assurance Officer.
Reporting direct to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording Quality Assurance procedures throughout our site.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and record QA procedures across the site.
Monitor the stock yards to ensure animal welfare standards are met.
Monitor unloading of livestock trucks.
Requirement to maintain HACCP, food safety, and quality systems standards.
Conduct product testing, and ensure customer specific requirements are maintained.
Daily Review of CCTV footage with regards to animal welfare checks.
Report on Quality Assurance issues to QA manager, and follow up on corrective actions.
Monitor temperature controls.
QA administration.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Qualifications in HACCP, Internal Auditing.
Animal Welfare Officer Skill Set.
