As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will ensure the application of The Downer Standards (TDS) & Processes and ISO Standards to operational services. You will support the development of quality management frameworks and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Business Unit.
What you'll do
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Downer Standards and ISO Standards, represent SI&CS in Group Quality Functions, and support contract-specific quality management frameworks.
- Planning & Strategy: Participate in operational assurance initiatives, contribute to developing quality strategic direction, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote excellence in customer service, map/document SI&CS services processes, and foster a continuous improvement culture.
- Zero Harm: Commit to health and safety, provide guidance on safety standards, and ensure adherence to Downer's safety procedures and standards.
- Document Management Framework: Ensure compliance with document management control frameworks and manage licensing and compliance standards.
What you'll bring
- Education & Qualifications: Vocational level qualification or above in Quality Management, Business Management, or related field. Lead Investigator and Auditor Certifications preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in Project Management, Operations Management, Quality Management, or equivalent. Proven track record in driving business process improvements and enhancing performance.
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong stakeholder management, strategic initiative development, and understanding of Performance Management Frameworks and KPIs. High level of computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Personal Attributes: Integrity, problem-solving skills, effective stakeholder management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and service quality.
