About the Role
As our QA Officer based at the Five Dock location, you will ensure the highest quality standards across all our locations: Pasticceria Papa in Five Dock, Ristorante Papa in Haberfield, Pasticceria Papa in Bondi, and our Manufacturing Plant & Wholesale business also in Five Dock. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and quality.
Duties
- Document and report on product or service quality levels
- Develop and implement standards for inspection
- Create efficient workflows for product inspections
- Manage waste through strategic planning
- Communicate with team members to solve quality-related issues
- Follow up on discrepancies and ensure compliance with standards
- Train team members on inspection processes and Quality Assurance protocols
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Expertise in managing allergen programs and familiar with HACCP, GMP, and other prerequisite programs
- Knowledgeable about certifications such as Non-GMO, National Organic, Kosher, etc.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and draft procedure manuals and regulatory documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
