About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join the HFA Quality team! Based at our state-of-the-art Truganina facility, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing facility through continuous quality improvement. The QA Officer will ensure that HFA has safe, compliant and quality products within specification of our customer.
The roster a 2 week rotation, every second weekend - dayshift.

In this role, you will
- Work closely with the Production Managers & team members to ensure compliance to our Quality Systems at all times;
- Manage routine internal and external communication with key stakeholders;
- Maintain and update Quality Assurance policies, procedures, guides, and other relevant documented materials;
- Educate and assist the team to understand Food Safety & Quality requirements;
- Provide administrative support to quality processes including collation of supplier compliance actions;
- Coordinate the Quality Assurance activities such as testing, quality reviews, factory audits, etc;
- Coordinate meetings and work collaboratively with other to implement QA framework;
- Analyse trends and quality related data sets, including extracting data from relevant QA systems;
- Escalate issues as they arise – working as part of a greater team;
- Maintains quality-related data (e.g. testing, reviews) for analysis and reporting in accordance to QA framework.
About you
- Diploma in Food Science or comparable.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing desired (experience in Meat Industry highly regarded);
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role ;
- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Knowledge of HACCP and its application;
- Exceptional problem-solving, organisational and planning skills;
- Basic computer skills;
- Driven to meet business standards and customer expectations, and attain ‘best in class’;
- High attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to work well under deadlines.
