Your tasks
  • About the role The Quality & Compliance Officer is responsible for providing assurance that the products and services delivered by the company meets the requirements for legal, regularity, contracts, corporate management system and the local management system. Support the timely completion of EC applications, ensuring accurate record are maintained.

    Communicate and collaborate with team members within Australia and other Rohde & Schwarz entities to assure conformance to requirements. The following duties include but not limited to,

  • Ensure compliance to all company policies, processes and practices. This includes taking reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of colleagues by complying with all reasonable policies, procedures and directions issued by management.
  • Facilitate the implementation and management of corporate governance directives, frameworks, policies, processes and practices.
  • Support the development, review and update of the local management system and drive the implementation of improvements.
  • Coordinate the planning, execution and follow-up of external assurance audits, keeping stakeholders informed about the progress.
  • Conduct the planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up on supplier assurance audits, ensuring that findings are tracked, addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Conduct the planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up on internal assurance audits against the local management system, ensuring that findings are addressed and resolved in timely manner.
  • Support the development of responses to external and internal non-conformances / improvements, oversee the implementation of actions, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Track and monitor customer complaints, conduct reviews, perform analysis, report, and follow up.
  • Conduct, analyse, report, and follow up on customer surveys. Investigate and support the implementation of improvements as agreed by stakeholders.
  • Monitor, investigate, analyse, report, and follow up on product non-conformances. Ensuring closure of non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Track, analyse, and report on quality centric KPIs and quality reports.
  • Support the certification and delivery of products to customers.
  • Review project documentation, conduct follow up and approve.
  • Evaluate new supplier approvals through reviews and assessments and ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Support the development, review and monitoring of Export Control (EC) applications. Ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Support the conduct of personnel vetting for access to EC material and information.
  • Ensure the currency and update all Quality and EC registers.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring that findings from reviews are considered and, where appropriate, incorporated into business processes and shared with project teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices in quality, compliance and export control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of business processes throughout the organisation.
  • Deliver training to staff on the quality, compliance and EC as required.
  • Support the QM and ECM for reporting to senior management on the performance of the management system and any need for improvements or changes.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the QM / ECM from time to time.

Your qualifications
  • Skills and experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards, relevant training or certifications will be advantageous.
  • Certified Lead Auditor - ability to plan, execute, and follow up on audits.
  • Mandatory experience with ISO 9001 quality standard and relevant industry experience.
  • Essential, CoA Defence Security Clearance.
  • Desirable, prior experience with product certification.
  • Desirable, knowledge of ISO 17025 certification. Technical / Functional skills
  • Preferred relevant industry experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Test and Measurement related environment.
  • Prior experience managing and maintaining a Quality Management System.
  • Ability to analyse data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy for reviewing documentation, tracking non-conformances and improvements.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lead quality initiatives and influence others to maintain quality standards.
