Hours of Work – 7PM - 7AM 12hr shift - 7 day fortnight - rotating roster (Monday to Sunday)

Join the Australian-owned, French-inspired artisan bakery that has warmed the hearts of Melbournians for close to three decades.

We have grown to 18 fully owned cafes and 2 State of the Art production facilities, and in order to maintain our exceptional product standards, we are looking to hire an experienced QC to oversee our night production.

This role will support the efficiency and effectiveness of our production facility. The Quality Control Officer is responsible for maintaining databases of documents, forms and processes together with Quality Control systems, continuous improvement registers and other organizationally required documents and systems.

The role has strong functional links with the production of key organisational documentation and activities of the organisation.

The key responsibilities will include:

• Having a sound knowledge of company quality policy, quality objectives, quality procedures and work instructions.
• Being familiar with Legislative Requirements for the business including Food Safety, HACCP requirements.
• Coordinating quality system documentation and records.
• Conducting product inspection online and working closely with internal stakeholders to main and improve quality of our products.
• Communicating with QA Manager, Operations Manager and all staff regarding Quality documentation and Production records.
• Ensure all HACCP Plan verification and calibration activities are complete.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Food Science and Technology or equivalent.
• Current HACCP training
• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar position in the food industry including quality assurance e.g. taking temperature
• Be able to follow instructions
• Reading and writing of reports
