Quality Control & HSE Officer
Based in Wodonga. RMR Engineering are a ISO 9001 accredited, multifaceted manufacturing group. Providing a diverse range of Engineering, Fabrication, Site Services and Product Development, to the Food, Defence, Utilities, Construction, and Manufacturing industries.
With ongoing expansion and investment. We are seeking a dynamic Quality Control / HSE Officer, to take responsibility for the control and administration of QC and HSE functions.
Previous experience of Quality Management in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, where no two days are ever the same is essential.
Applicants should have substantial training and experience in Quality management and the design and implementation of Quality and Safety Systems. They should be familiar with Australian (AS) and international (ISO) quality standards. They must have implemented and maintained quality programs and systems – including ISO 9001, along with other ISO standards for OHS and Environment.
Duties Include.
- Promoting best practice in Quality and HSE Management throughout the business.
- Updating, implementing, and achieving agreed Quality strategy, policies, plans, actions, and measures.
- Reducing the cost of quality failure by ensuring "right first time every time” and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Assisting with scheduled audits and report against standards and statutory obligations.
- Ensuring we maintain ISO 9001 certification and adhere to our HSE responsibilities.
- Assisting with approved supplier program requirements.
- Assist with drafting and training of QA Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Maintaining the operational control documents and GMP requirements.
- Assisting in collecting, analysing, managing, and reporting on quality data in and Conducting quality internal audits as scheduled.
- Incoming goods and in-process goods inspection.
- Conducting tests, analysing measurements, and reviewing processes to ensure product is manufactured to specification.
- Driving change and process / quality improvement.
- Working closely with manufacturing and installation staff to establish work instructions, procedures and set work standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and investigations and implement solutions.
Experience required
- Demonstrated work experience in Quality / HSE principles and processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Computer literacy with MS suite of products.
- Proficient in the use of metrology equipment and tools.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative and solutions focussed.
- Dependability and personable nature.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and Manufacturing or equivalent .
