About the role:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, we are seeking a hands-on, QC Officer to ensure all aspects of quality are implemented and controlled in the production area. You will ensure the manufacturing facility is producing to the agreed quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all aspects of quality implemented in the production comply with national standards at both national and international level;
- Conducting audits as per the site schedule, follow-up and closeout of issues raised;
- QA checks, sampling and testing coordination ensuring compliance to specification and customer requirements;
- CCP/QCP management, daily checks and record management;
- Investigation and close out of Corrective Actions & Customer Complaints;
- Highlighting and/or escalating any quality issues to management;
- Liaising with the production manager and shop floor personnel on all quality issues;
- Raising and managing internal/external corrective action reports;
- Modifying and/or creating process documentation;
- Assisting in driving continuous improvement through all processes.
Key requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and/or relevant qualifications in Quality Assurance, HACCP, Food Science or Micro-Biology.
- Previous Quality Control experience within food or beverage production.
- Demonstrated experience with HACCP, GFSI and/or SQF standards
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience writing reports
- Committed with an excellent work ethic.
