Currently they have an exciting career opportunity at our Southport dealership for a customer focused Quality Controller/Foreman who is passionate about our brand to join the team.
In this role your key responsibilities will include:
- Road/quality test all vehicles consistent with the standards and procedures of BMW Gold Coast
- Treating customer and company owned vehicles with the utmost care at all times;
- Conducting road/quality tests in a timely and efficient manner whilst ensuring that all faults are identified and documented on all relevant service documentation;
- Keeping accurate records of all completed road/quality tests and providing a weekly list to your Manager to review. Records to also indicate any relevant trends which can be used to improve quality control measures throughout the workshop;
- Maintain effective channels of communication with staff and customers at all times and ensure that all forms of communication are done in a way which is complimentary to the BMW brand and image.
- Coach and mentor technicians to achieve a greater skillset and efficiency through technical guidance and support.
- Abide by all OH&S policies and procedures in the workplace at all times;
- Ensure a detailed knowledge of BMW products are maintained, including keeping up-to-date with all workshop technical literature and software as and when new publications and products are released. Maintain a commitment to BMW refresher courses that are relevant to your position; and
- Perform any other duties as directed as and when required by your Manager.
To ensure success within this role you will have;
- A working knowledge of BMW products
- Qualified BMW technical qualifications With at least 5 years of experience as a registered technician or higher.
- The ability to make decisions in a pressured environment and to work within a safe manner,
- The skills necessary to conduct final road/quality tests and to translate any outstanding issues to service documentation in a manner which can easily be understood and interpreted for the purposes of customer translation.
It is essential that you have completed a recognised mechanical or electrical trade qualification and possess a valid and up-to-date Drivers Licence. You are customer focused with exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
