Position title Quality Enginner
We are part of a global manufacturers and marketers of a broad range of fabricated high performance OEM and aftermarket products for some of the blue chip On and Off-highway Customers. Globally we employ over 2800 people in 22 locations. Our product range includes mufflers and exhaust tube assemblies and accessories.
We are looking for a Quality Engineer reporting Quality & EHS Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
- Approval of product quality including prototypes, first-offs, In-process, and production part approval as per Work Order requirements.
- Incoming material inspection and communication with the suppliers to improve.
- Creating and maintaining records in line with quality system and customer requirements.
- Management of gauge calibration program.
- Communicate with production/Engineering departments, address to quality improvement.
- Raising NCRs to address major or repetitive in-process non-conformances.
- Handling customer complaints, taking containment action, investigating customer returns and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action, 8D reports submission.
- Conduct Process quality audit, identify the opportunities for improvement and follow up.
- NPI part inspection and release along with inspection report, and PPAP documents preparation and get approval from the customers.
- Maintain and update Monthly quality report.
- Maintenance and housekeeping of the QA area.
General responsibilities
- Complying with Nelson Global Products local and corporate policies and procedures.
- Reporting incidents of harassment, bullying or unfair treatment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the immediate work area.
- Taking appropriate care to protect personal health and safety.
Skills and competencies:
Mandatory skills/Educational Qualifications
- CMM experience( Highly desired)
- Ability to use engineering measuring equipment (e.g. Height gauge, micrometer, vernier calipers)
- Experience is measuring equipment calibration.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and written specification.
- Computer literate (e-mailng, Microsoft office)
- Problem solving/continuous improvement techniques.
