About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineering Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 20+ years of IT industry experience with a strong background in Program Quality Management, Service Delivery, and Quality Engineering. They should be self-motivated, results-oriented, and possess exceptional leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate their extensive knowledge of test best practice including test automation, test data management ensuring fit for purpose solutions and applicable guardrails are adopted throughout EnergyAustralia technology practice.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction/inputs in QP/Sprint planning and provide updates on any cross-domain impacts and dependencies, including external/legacy programs and applications.
- Ensure test outcomes are aligned with business outcomes via the link between the feature/EPIC acceptance criteria and Business Verification Testing.
- Manage the operational, financial, and technical aspects of projects and/or capabilities based on timelines and multitude of tech stacks.
- Define testing scope of work, financial plans, goals, and delivery.
- Lead all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) including design walkthrough, test planning, execution, and defect tracking management.
- Provide expertise in Agile methodology and proficiency in various testing methodologies and techniques.
- Lead the development and execution of quality architecture to support customer requirements.
- Participate in new product initiation activities and drive requirements analysis and system engineering studies.
- Guide solution delivery for strategic projects & persistent capabilities through the entire SDLC cycle.
- Promote Automation first principles and ensuring ROI and adoption on enablement activities.
About You:
The Quality Architect is a technical test specialist who is experienced with software engineering tools, standards and practices and is an expert in the integration of Quality Engineering solutions, products & services in the area of test automation and test data management. Required Skills and Qualifications.
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 20+ years of experience in the IT industry with specialization in Quality Program Management and Service Delivery.
- Strong expertise in Agile Scrum, Transition Management, and Quality Engineering.
- Extensive experience in transforming manual processes to automation.
- Domain expertise across Energy industries.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, and Unix/Linux.
- Hands-on experience with testing/defect tracking tools like HP Quality Center and Jira.
- Expertise in scripting languages including HTML, XML, C++, Java, and PHP.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
