AddressAbaris Printing is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to join the company management team. The role has responsibility for all aspects of Quality at the site, for food contact and non-food contact printed packaging, and working closely with managers, supervisors, and staff, is responsible for managing and maintaining the appropriate quality systems throughout the manufacturing process.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain, review and improve Quality Systems, including FSSC22000 V 5.1 for food-contact and secondary products, and ongoing 3rd party system certification requirements.
Understanding of US FDA, EU, and Customer specific requirements that relate to the site and ensuring identified Prerequisite Programs are managed in line with requirements.
In conjunction with the Site Management Team, understand and work towards all customer requirements and quality specifications, ensuring processes and testing protocols are set up, maintained, reviewed, and adhered to with an unrelenting focus on quality output that meets customer expectations and agreed standards and specifications.
Be the authority in all quality aspects of the production of printed paper/plastic labels, printed cartons and trays for the site.
Skills and experience:
- 5+years experience in a similar Quality role within a food manufacturing or food packaging operation.
- Track record in the successful maintenance of Quality systems such as FSSC22000, ISO9001 and HACCP.
- Previous experience in a food or packaging company. Additional experience in a technical or operational role/s in a packaging or food industry will be preferable.
- Superior communication and time management skills.
- Experience in maintaining additional systems such as Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) preferred.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Science or related field.
