AddressJoin this dynamic organisation as the HSQ Manager for this information and data services company your role will be to oversee the Health, Safety and Quality frameworks within the organisation.
Your brand new role will see you undertake and direct complex and diverse audits, investigations and inspections within the business, and supports externally contracted providers to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations, processes and controls.
Key accountabilities
- Facilitate the management of the delivery of a safety assurance process in accordance with regulations and corporate governance
- Influence behavioural changes and support continual improvement to enhance and advance the safety culture, including in alignment with the organisation's overarching Health and Safety Strategy
- Report and record metrics in accordance with local legislation/regulation as well as in compliance with reporting requirements
- Manage safety risk assessments, identify and triage risks and work with the business toward remediation
- Co-ordinate and obtain sign-off for the annual quality audit schedule
- Conduct internal audits and other discrete audits as necessary; provide monthly management progress and status reporting
- Manage the WorkCover claims process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and administration of workers' compensation claims
- Be the key contact for all HSE regulatory matters
Skills, experience, and knowledge
- Previous experience in and extensive understanding of work health and safety, emergency management, incident management governance and compliance, including coordination, investigation and reporting
- Project management experience including implementation to deliver best practice outcomes.
- Detailed knowledge of WHS legislation and management processes
- Previous experience in Workcover management
- Knowledge and experience with Quality Systems management
- Experience of implementing one or more of the following frameworks: ISO45001, ISO 9001, ISO14001. Or other similar or related standard
- Experience in developing and delivering education, training and communication material across multiple mediums
- Highly articulate and influential verbal and written communication abilities
- Successful track record in implementing practical and effective WHS and Quality management systems
