About the role:

This role will be focused on the production process to ensure that all products and services meet consistent Australian standards.  This will ensure our market leading position and our brand are protected. The Quality Manager will develop and implement quality control tests, inspect products at various stages and write reports documenting production issues. Reporting to the ANZ Quality Manager we are looking for an experienced manager, who has had experience working with ongoing certifications to allow our products to be sold within our region, overseeing internal audit programs to reduce risk, monitoring or customer complaints and warranties.

Based in Brisbane, this is an onsite role that would require some travel to other sites nationally. The role is a full-time permanent position.

What you will need to do:

  • Ensure products meet regulatory and compliance standards at all times. 
  • Survey and gauge the quality of products.
  • Eliminate products that are not up to standards and find the reason for product problems. 
  • Ensure that every stage of the manufacturing process has been correctly completed and complies with the company’s standards.
  • Inspecting products at different stages ensuring that each part of the process is correct. 
  • Conduct regular audits of production processes, products and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. 
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
  • Document quality reports by collecting, analysing and summarising data.
  • Implement RWC quality control processes to ensure consistent and high-quality production output.
  • Review quality standards, procedures and processes in line with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain documentation and records related to quality assurance and control.
  • Monitor production lines to detect and address quality issues and nonconformances.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement and manufacturing, to improve product design and production processes.
  • Deliver training programs to educate employees on quality awareness and best practices.
  • Investigate customer complaints and issues to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Due to the nature and responsibilities of the role, there is an expectation that the individual will be available to respond to occasional urgent contact outside of normal working hours. 

 About you:

  • You will hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as quality management. 
  • Additionally, Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • Certification of quality control (e.g. ISO 9000 etc.)
  • Familiarity with testing tools.
  • Proven experience as Quality Manager
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
