About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, innovative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic Quality Officer to join our busy and dynamic team. Based at Wetherill Park and reporting to the Quality Manager, the primary objective of this role is to ensure all food safety and quality activities and tasks are carried out in compliance with best practice Food Safety Standards.
We currently have a number of vacancies available across AM and PM shifts.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Driving process improvement by actively identifying potential hazards and non-conformance's
- Preparation and dispatch of product samples for testing (micro and chemical)
- Inspection of incoming raw materials and testing to set parameters for each batch of manufactured product to ensure they comply with the company, legislative and customer requirements
- Conduct equipment calibrations as per company procedure and the calibration schedule
- Assisting with HACCP and GMP internal auditing
- Provide onsite support to QA Manager, QC Supervisor and Operations team
About you and your skills:
- 2 – 4 years’ experience in a similar role working in Food Manufacturing
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience or formal training in HACCP Principles
- A pro-active approach to resolving issues and high degree of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
