We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and logical Food Technologist with self-confidence and self-motivation to join an expanding Food Manufacturing Business in Noble Park that supplies a range of allergen free food products to the retail and foodservice markets throughout Australia.
The successful applicant will report to the Technical Director, and is responsible for documentation, records and Quality Systems upkeep. Our business is built on a reputation for the preparation and processing of high quality and innovative blended food products. and the main responsibilities include:
- Routine QA systems review, maintenance, implementation and control.
- Systems refinements; continuous improvement;
- Training, including inductions and documenting operating procedures
- Ensuring a safe working environment
- Vendor QA
- Ensure that the products and services provided to the customer are in compliance with our Food Safety and Quality Management System
- Performing tests and analysis of raw materials and finished products
- Reporting and interpreting test results in a timely, professional and scientific manner
- Ensuring all products / samples are consistently analysed / monitored to a high-quality standard
- Have a close working relationship with sales; administration and manufacturing departments.
Applicants must possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor in Food Science & Technology or related field
- An understanding of quality standards such as SQF, HACCP
- Ability to work with a team in a professional manner
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Be computer literate with the use of Word, Excel
- Highly motivated, good work ethic and a positive can-do approach to challenges
- Have the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Willingness to learn, loves food and have a keen interest in food products and processing
- Focus on the day-to-day tasks of evaluating food products and Quality Systems
