The Client
A leading Sydney-based Global Hedge Fund specialising in quantitative trading strategies are seeking a highly motivated and talented Quant Developer to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.
The Team
With a strong focus on innovation, technology, and data analysis, this firm has consistently delivered exceptional results. You will form part of the Mid Frequency Trading team and work closely with software engineers, quantitative traders and researchers. Your contribution will be seen and felt across the business thus a “team first” attitude is critical for success.
The Role
As a Quant Developer, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing quantitative trading strategies. You will work closely with the research team supporting them to develop signals and strategies.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with quantitative researchers to translate trading strategies and models into code.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines whilst also supporting the existing systems and tools.
• Develop and maintain high-performance trading algorithms and tools to observe trading signals.
The Qualifications
• 5+ years development experience in a trading environment.
• PhD or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar discipline.
• Expert proficiency level in Python and familiarity with pandas & numpy.
