Role Overview: As the Sales & Major Accounts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and overseeing the overall success of our 6 Queensland branches.
Travel within the state is an expectation of this role, and you will be expected to meet clients regularly for accounts management. Responsibilities:
- Major account Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing Major Accounts, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets, focusing on both short-term revenue and long-term growth opportunities.
- New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new major account opportunities, leveraging market research, networking, and innovative approaches to expand the client base.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, and customer service to ensure alignment and provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and client feedback to continuously refine strategies and enhance sales performance.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the 6 x Branch Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing 'Manager-level' employees.
- Boots-on attitude liaising with clients on civil construction sites.
- Disciplined and structured to follow and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Industry knowledge: Familiarity with our industry and understanding of market trends, competitors, and client needs, preferably in heavy equipment, construction, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and achieving sales targets.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and P&L.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills to motivate and guide the team towards excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Tertiary qualifications in sales, commerce, business, or related fields.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly for client meetings.
