Race & Event Assistant

Race & Event Assistant Snowsports | Winter Closing date: 07/04/2024 We are seeking applicants to join our Race & Event Department team within this general labour role. Successful applicants will be part of a small team assisting with daily set up, preparation and maintenance of our on-mountain ski and snowboard racecourses.

Working alongside Mountain Operations Departments including Grooming and Lifts, you will work on small and large events, from club races through to internationally recognised races on some of Thredbo’s best terrain, as well as assisting with our many on mountain events which run throughout the season. With some early starts and late finishes on the mountain, you will see Thredbo and its surrounds at its absolute best. Opportunities exist to help and learn to set courses along with the potential to drive or learn how to drive a snowmobile.

If you’re up for an exciting opportunity to: Work as an equal team member in all weather conditions to achieve goals. Communicate at a professional level with all staff and clientele. Be available from mid-June through till mid to late September.

Work up to 38hrs per week with a consistently flexible approach. Maintain high standards of punctuality and professionalism in both appearance and conduct. Positively engage in and support the Snowsports department.

Share your exceptional customer service skills & experiences. Take and act on directions and manage priorities. Make our customer experience your number one priority … with your experience and skills in: A skiing ability higher than a strong intermediate level (Ski Level 7 or 8 ) Be in good physical condition: able to lift 20kg and ski with bulky loads.

A current driver’s licence of provisional level or above. Prior work in and around racecourses, driving snowmobiles or motorbikes, or admin skills are a distinct advantage but not essential. Hold or eligible to obtain an NSW
