Karvel Automotive seeks an RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance Operator to service the Cobram area, who can demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge.
About the role:
The successful applicant will attend emergency Roadside Assistance call-outs within a specified time frame, to assist RACV & NRMA members, and non-members within the Cobram service area (Cobram, Tocumwal, Finley, Jerilderie and surrounds).
- Typical callouts include troubleshooting and providing basic vehicle mechanical assistance such as changing tyres and batteries, jump-starting and lock-out etc.
- If the issue cannot be resolved roadside, the Roadside Assistance Operator simply calls the depot and arranges a tow.
Hours of work:
- A weekly on-call 24/7 rotating roster 5 days on, 2 days off (with some weeknights).
- Flexibility to be based at home.
This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, and autonomously, and will suit an individual who lives in the service area with basic mechanical experience (and/or is willing to learn), who can deliver excellent customer service, complete paperwork effectively and follow protocols and procedures.
- Basic mechanical know-how essential.
- Trade qualification an advantage.
- To commence asap - $31.09 per hour, plus incentives and superannuation.
- Fully equipped 4WD patrol van, fuel card, phone and tablet are provided, (for work purposes).
- Supportive team environment and ongoing training provided.
- Must have a Australian driver’s licence with no current restrictions.
