The North Coast Cancer Institute offers fantastic employment opportunities for Radiation Therapists to live and work in the gorgeous NSW North Coast. Variable rosters, including the option of full time hours in a 4 day week, gives you the flexibility to get out and explore the region. We’re a small team with experience in modern radiation therapy techniques. Our established clinical programme includes IMRT, VMAT, SABR/SBRT/SRT, SGRT & 4DCT and our image-based protocols are integral to our model of care. In addition to our unit, Lismore has PET/CT and 3T MRI scanners, strong links with the University Centre of Rural Health and a longstanding partnership with radiation oncology services offered in Mid North Coast.
We’re excited about moving towards a new phase in service delivery, including machine replacement and expansion of district services at the new Tweed Valley Hospital. If you are:
- Eligible for general registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Radiation Therapist and eligible to hold a current EPA NSW Radiation User Licence.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work successfully in small teams.
- Have demonstrated experience with dual energy linear accelerators, IGRT, and experience with CT interfacing 3D treatment planning systems.
- Have an understanding of current Radiation Therapy, QA and radiation safety principles and practices and identify future developments in the profession.
