Form of workTalent is partnering with a highly reputable Defence consultancy to source a Radio/Communications Technician with NV1 Clearance to work on base at RAAF Williamtown.
About the role
This role will be responsible for supporting the timely and effective capability decisions and focus on Radio/Telecommunications technical support, training and capability development.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and alter radio telecommunications systems and general equipment for deployments
- Facilitate fleet and after sales support from third party suppliers for the current fleet of hardware
- Plan, design, implement and maintain complex communications and information systems
- Coordinate training delivery, sustainment establishment and fleet management activities
- In-house ICT training and mentorship to incoming uniformed counterparts
- Management of controlled cryptographic material
- Assist with the appropriate policy and governance overheads
Requirements
- Radio/Telecommunications background with relevant qualifications
- Radio frequency fundamentals
- Telecommunications equipment configuration, maintenance troubleshooting and repair
- Defence technical regulatory awareness
- Electronic and Satellite systems
- A strong consulting toolkit, including a focus on problem solving, analytical ability, communication skills, and project management expertise
Terms
- MUST HOLD ACTIVE NV1 CLEARANCE
- Initial contract running until the 30th of June
- Based out of RAAF Williamtown – must be comfortable with 5 days per week onsite
- Rates negotiable
