Form of workAn exciting opportunity for a Rail Coordinator to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing rail customer requirements are met in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
This role will be a Monday-Friday day shift but will look to move to a roster of 4 on 4 off in the future.
The key roles and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Liaising with ARTC & Rail Operators to coordinate rail movements
- Act as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders and customers after hours
- Assist with setting up trains for container delivery including following load plans
- Book trains in and out of operating system
- Compile consist and sending to rail customers in a timely manner
- Ensure all containers are as per customer requests prior to train departure
- Check and sight stock levels for upcoming trains
- Assist in all areas of forklift operations and container control
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Rail Industry Safety Induction / Track Safety Awareness - desirable
- Forklift / Reach Stacker license desirable but not essential
- Current Drivers Licence
- Rail or transport/logistics coordination experience
- Knowledge of Container Park operations
- Knowledge of radio protocol and procedures
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
