Job Description
Exciting opportunity to work in a leading national transport and logistics company as a Train Coordinator.
Reporting to the Rail Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
Monitoring inbound service progress and reporting updates to stakeholders.
Preparing outgoing train consists in Rolling Stock
Data entry of wagon and customer freight information into train consists
Coordinating required contractors in response to train services
being the link between operations and rail shunt crews to assist in the timelines of shunt requirements and outbound services.
Assist in the monitoring and coordinating SCT Rail movements within Perth and SCT Siding.
Coordinating shunt requirements with internal warehouses and sidings.
Being the key of information for the WA Rail team.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Understanding of all legislation relating to rail, including but not limited to SCT/SBR Rail Safety Management Systems
Current drivers license
Must be able to pass a National Code of Practice for the Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers Category 3 medical
A proven ability to work under pressure in a high pace environment
A proven track record in building internal and external relationships
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and systems use.
Previous experience & knowledge of rail transport industry
Experience using SAP and/or transport management systems
