Key Responsibilities
- Understanding challengers of working within the rail corridor and implementing policy's and procedures to safeguard all staff and contractors
- Implementing Rail Safety strategies, systems and initiatives
- Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of campaigns on site
- Driving a culture of Safety in accordance with Project Values
- Motivating, leading and mentoring site personnel to foster positive team dynamics, staff morale and work outcomes
- Ensuring that all employees and sub-contractors are adhering to the Work Health and Safety Management plan, policies and procedures
- Manage risk assessments for specific discipline areas, being able to self-sufficiently plan, run and write up risk workshops.
- Support business development and write proposals. In doing so, identify potential risks, devise method statements, specify clear acceptance criteria, and generate resource and cost estimates.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification, OR substantial relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of Safeworking Rules and Procedures and Rail Safety activities.
- Sound knowledge of the Rail Safety National Law.
- Relevant experience in leading the implementation of Safeworking requirements in a complex environment.
- Good communication skills with internal stakeholders / management as well as sub contractors etc
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Based on the Gold Coast or willing to relocate.
