ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and appropriately experienced individual to join our Financial Services team. Reporting to Council’s Coordinator Rating, this position will provide a high level of assistance in coordinating the timely levy and collection of Council rates and water billing charges. A focus of this role is to provide quality customer service to our community.
To be successful you will bring
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Certificate in business, finance or a related field or demonstrated extensive experience in Local Government rating.
- Demonstrated track record of success in a finance environment requiring experience in reconciliations, accounting and auditing principles.
- Demonstrated experience in roles requiring excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to prioritise workload with a highly organised approach to completing tasks within strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with experience in a face-to-face customer service role.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $66,400 to $76,200 (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
- 19 day month working arrangement. Council is currently trialling a range of flexible working options. Subject to operational requirements, full time office staff will have access to a nine day fortnight, with a thirty minute lunch break. For the duration of the trial arrangement, staff will also have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational requirements and approval.
